- HOW DOES THE TRAILER ACT AS A SPARE WHEEL?

Extrawheel cargo trailers are a fully functioning spare wheel that can be used to replace a damaged front wheel on your bicycle. Although the trailer wheel carries less load than a conventional wheel it will still get you to the nearest point of repair. If your rear wheel is damaged the spokes, inner tube, tyre and wheel rim of the bike trailer can be used to make repairs.
- DIFFERENT WHEELS - ONE-SIZE FRAME (1,65 kg)

We provide three wheel sizes (standard front wheels with Quick Release):
• 26x1.95" (MTB)
• 28" (622-37)
• 27" (630-37)
The cargo trailer frame has 4 mm-thick dropouts for the axis of 10 mm diameter. The distance between the dropouts is 100 mm.

Each wheel is made with the parts provided by the following manufacturers:
• KENDA - tyres, inner tube with an AV car valve
• YOYTECH - aluminium hubs
• EXTRAWHEEL - quick release
• CN SPOKE - 36 galvanised spokes
• STRONG WHEEL - aluminium conically-shaped rims

The Voyager's frame is suitable for all sizes of bicycles with wheels up to the width of 2.3" - also size 29" (rim 28" with a large tyre).
- WHAT SIZE WHEEL SHOULD I CHOOSE FOR MY CARGO TRAILER?

You should choose a bike trailer wheel that is the same size as the wheels on your bicycle. This will give you the best performance from the trailer and also means the trailer wheel can double us a spare.

However, please be aware that:
If your bike trailer wheel is smaller than 20", the load or panniers may rub against the ground.

If you want to reduce the rolling resistance, you should choose the largest possible wheel size: a narrow tyre will be best for asphalt and wider tyre for rough terrain.

- FORK STANDARD (0,68 kg) AND LONG (0,73 kg)

The forks used for connecting the cargo trailer to a bicycle are made from hardened sprung steel. The STANDARD size is suitable for a 20" - 28" wheel. For 29" wheels we recommend the LONG model which is 12 mm longer than the standard model.
- PUGSLEY (0,87 kg) -TYPE FORK / ENDOMORPH

A fastening fork for a Pugsley-type bicycle is only 3 mm longer than a standard fork but is much wider than.
- SPARE QUICK RELEASE - QR (STANDARD - 0,24 kg, LONG - 0,26 kg)

The sizes of Extrawheel's QR are shown in the picture on the right. We can make bespoke non-standard sizes to order. We recommend purchasing a number of quick release mechanisms (or nuts), so you can fasten the trailer to different bicycles quickly.
If you are planning a long trip or tour, take a spare one with you - as can happens in cycling a quick release mechanism may break.
- CHOOSING NUTS (0,05 kg) BEFORE BUYING

Extrawheel nuts are available in five thread sizes. The most popular have a 3/8 inch thread and 26 crests per inch.
You should have your bicycle thread checked at a service point - homemade measurements might be inaccurate. Unfortunately, giving us information about the hub type or make of bicycle is not enough.
If required we can make non-standard nuts to order.
- LOAD ON ONE SIDE

Hanging a heavy load on one side of the cargo trailer or only using one pannier will cause a slight tilt on the bicycle. However, this something the cyclist will soon get accustomed to. When braking or cycling through difficult terrain ride comfort will also deteriorate a little.
